QUANTUM / 01

Same odds.
Different phase.

Build a single qubit and uncover what a 50/50 measurement hides. Change the phase, switch the measurement basis, and export a reproducible state.1つの量子ビットを作り、50対50の測定に隠れた違いを探ります。

3. Turn the state into a circuit3.

Start in |0⟩. Rᵧ(θ) sets the amplitude balance; P(φ) multiplies the |1⟩ amplitude by eⁱφ. Measure directly for Z. For X, add a Hadamard (H) immediately before Z measurement: output 0 means +, and output 1 means −.|0⟩から開始します。

  1. Select |+⟩: θ = 90°, φ = 0°. Z gives 50/50; X gives + with certainty.|+⟩を選択:θ = 90°、φ = 0°。
  2. Move φ to 180°. Z is unchanged, but X now gives − with certainty.φを180°に変更。
  3. Move φ to 90°. Both bases give 50/50. The state is still pure: its difference is visible along Y, which this lab does not measure.φを90°に変更。
  4. Run 100 shots, then 10,000. Larger samples tend to have smaller proportional fluctuations; they are not guaranteed to match the expectation exactly.100回、次に10,000回を試します。

What this explains

An X measurement combines the two complex amplitudes: P(+) = |(α + β)/√2|². They can reinforce or cancel. Z uses |α|² and |β|² separately, so it cannot reveal their relative phase.X測定では2つの複素振幅を合成します:P(+) = |(α + β)/√2|²。

The sphere shows a pure state with x = sin θ cos φ, y = sin θ sin φ, z = cos θ. At either pole, changing φ does not change physical predictions. Global phase is omitted. Noise, mixed states, entanglement, and hardware errors are outside this model; one qubit does not establish a quantum speedup.
